Time series data and digital traces are everywhere and prevalent to most applications, e.g., IoT, digital health, smart cities, transportation, and sustainability applications. Collaboration with local partners–either government or private sectors–are most likely to include big opportunities for time series data research. The long-term (multi-phase) goal is to develop an end-to-end system for efficient and scalable time series management and analytics. For phase 1, the focus will be on: (1) Collecting datasets and identifying potential stakeholders, (2) scoping one or two novel types of analytics, (3) developing algorithms for implementing these analytics, and (4) experimentally evaluating and analyzing outcomes on the collected data.
