QRDI Grant Awarded for aiMCard Project – Recognized as Group A (Highly Competitive)

QCAI is delighted to announce that our project “aiMCard: Transformative Healthcare AI Multi-Modal Tool for Integrated Cardiometabolic Risk Prediction in Qatar” has been awarded funding under the 8th cycle of the Path Towards Precision Medicine (PPM), supported by the Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council and the Qatar Precision Health Institute to Dr. Halima Bensmail.

This project is Co-led by Dr. Stavroula Kanoni, associate professor from William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.

The project aims to develop novel, multi-modal AI tools for predicting cardiometabolic risks, specifically coronary artery disease and type 2 diabetes, tailored to the Qatari population.

This is a collaboration with an exceptional team of co-PIs and partners — Dr. Ammira Al-Shabeeb Akil (SIDRA), Dr. Houari Abdesselem (HBKU), Dr. Panos Deloukas (Queen Mary University), Dr. Ikhlak Ahmed (SIDRA), and collaborators Dr. Mohamad Saad (QCRI) and Tom Kaplan (Queen Mary University) — in advancing precision medicine and healthcare innovation in Qatar.
