In the Data Management & Systems team at the Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) is dedicated to advancing the frontiers of data management and discovery. For over a decade, our team has pioneered research in data cleaning, entity matching, and large-scale data discovery, contributing foundational methods that have shaped the field. Our current focus, AI and Data Discovery, explores how recent breakthroughs in large language models (LLMs), vision-language models (VLMs), and other foundation models can transform traditional approaches to data profiling, integration, and discovery in multi-modal scenarios—making data more intelligent, accessible, and impactful across domains.
