Qatar’s first Arabic generative AI platform, built for the Arabic-speaking world. Fanar is a large language model (LLM) that understands and generates Arabic with depth, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity—empowering governments, educators, creators, and businesses alike.

Developed with the collaboration of multiple QCRI groups, including Arabic Language Technologies, Research Engineering, Cyber Security, and the Qatar Center for Artificial Intelligence, Fanar reflects Qatar’s ambition to lead in digital innovation, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Digital Agenda 2030.
